male, large, adult
DESCRIPTION
MEET SLADE. Unique good boi is strikingly good looking, possibly an Akita/Husky type mix, but is only a midsize guy. He's quick to wag his tail at everyone, makes friends easily, is social and calm, but strong on the leash so will need a little coaching. About 3 years old, SLADE looks like he belongs in movies with his huggy-good looks and ice-blue eyes, but what he really wants is for the right family to walk through the door and say "SLADE, you slay me! Let's be forever friends!"
BCSAPS is open Mon-Fri 10-5 and Sat 10-2. Please arrive at least 30 min before closing to give the staff time to pack your new family member's bags.
ABOUT: AKITA DOG BREED
The Akita is a powerful and dignified dog breed originating from Japan, known for its loyalty, intelligence, and independent nature. They have a distinctive curled tail, erect ears, and a dense double coat that comes in various colors. Akitas are renowned for their strong protective instincts, making them excellent guard dogs. However, they require firm training and socialization to manage their dominant tendencies. With the right guidance and care, Akitas can be loving, devoted companions for experienced dog owners.
The Siberian Husky is a medium sized working dog breed known for its striking appearance and friendly demeanor. Originating from Siberia, these dogs are well adapted to cold climates and are recognizable for their distinctive wolf like appearance, including piercing almond shaped eyes and a thick double coat. Siberian Huskies are known for their high energy levels, intelligence, and strong willed nature, making them best suited for active families and experienced dog owners who can provide them with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.
