Sweet little Dixie is a gentle little soul! We are still getting to know her, but so far she has been friendly and gentle.

Dixie is looking for an active home that will take her through her basics of walking on a leash and simple obedience commands. Once she has the basics down, she will be a great hiking, walking, and adventure companion!

Meetings with our pets, outside adoption events, are currently made only with an approved adoption survey.

All HEART dogs have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies, bordatella, distemper, parvo, adenovirus, and hepatitis. All are tested for heartworms and, if they test positive, have either been treated or provided alternative slow-kill treatment. Dogs are provided monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Dogs are also provided additional medical care, as needed. This care may include amputations, wound repair, treatment for skin disorders, dental care, treatment for infection and other medical needs
