A gentle, devoted mama with a heart of gold who deserves her very own happily ever after!

Some cats walk right up and introduce themselves. Others are a little more reserved and prefer to get to know you before showing you just how wonderful they are.

Mama Purrl Jam is one of those special girls who is absolutely worth getting to know!

Mama Purrl Jam came to Vintage Racers for Rescues with her newborn kittens, along with another young mama cat we named Mama Kiss. The two had been living as strays in the same area, and we suspect they may even be related!

Our veterinarian estimates Mama Purrl Jam to be approximately two years old and believes she has likely had multiple litters of kittens in her short life. It’s possible that she’s Mama Kiss’s mother or perhaps an older sister.

Whatever their relationship, one thing is certain: **these two girls are best friends!**

And Mama Purrl Jam has proven herself to be one extraordinary mother!

When they arrived in our care, Mama Kiss had very little milk to feed her babies. Fortunately, Mama Purrl Jam had plenty and happily took on the responsibility of nursing not only her own kittens but Mama Kiss’s babies as well!

Together, these two wonderful mamas raised their kittens as one big family. Mama Purrl Jam handled most of the nursing while Mama Kiss helped with the cleaning, grooming, and teaching.

Watching these two girls work together to care for their babies has been such a special experience.

Now, after taking care of everyone else, it’s finally Mama Purrl Jam’s turn to be taken care of!*

Mama Purrl Jam is an incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate girl. She just likes to take a little time getting to know someone before showing off her loving personality.

And by a little time, we really do mean a little! **Give her a day or so to get comfortable with you, and you’ll discover a kitty who will happily lounge in your lap, soak up your attention, and shower you with love and affection!**

She’s not a cat who needs weeks or months to warm up. She simply likes to get acquainted before hopping up into your lap, which she definitely will.

That’s quite a contrast to her outgoing best friend Mama Kiss, who seems to think everyone she meets should be her new best friend within the first minute!

Mama Purrl Jam is every bit as loving. She just prefers a proper introduction first!

Once she’s comfortable, she absolutely enjoys being close to her humans, receiving attention, and giving plenty of affection in return.

What about her best friend, Mama Kiss?

We would absolutely LOVE to find these two girls a forever home together!

Mama Kiss is incredibly friendly, affectionate, confident, and outgoing, and we believe her personality would be a wonderful source of comfort and reassurance for Mama Purrl Jam as she adjusts to a new home.

They’ve already been through so much together, and seeing them continue their lives side by side would truly be our dream come true.

That said, we understand that adopting two cats isn’t always possible, and we don’t want either girl to miss out on a loving forever family.

While adopting them together would be our ideal scenario, Mama Purrl Jam can also be considered for adoption individually.

Mama Purrl Jam recently visited our veterinarian and received a perfect report! She’s healthy, doing wonderfully, and weighs just 6 pounds! She’s a petite little lady with a whole lot of love to give.

• Healthy, with an excellent veterinary report
• Vaccinated
• Screened for intestinal parasites
• Microchipped
• Dewormed
• Spay surgery to be scheduled soon

After spending much of her young life surviving outdoors and raising kittens, Mama Purrl Jam deserves the chance to simply be someone’s beloved kitty.

No more living as a stray. No more worrying about where her next meal will come from. No more raising litter after litter of kittens.

The two mamas adjusted to being spoiled and indoor life in no time at all. They love our accommodations and food. They used the litter box from the minute we brought them home and are so happy to be safe and loved. They both do great in the car too, as our ride to the vet was 45 minutes each way.

Purrl spent so much of her life taking care of others. Now it’s her turn to be loved and cared for.
