Tiger Lily - Tortoiseshell Cat for Adoption in Springfield, Oregon

Meet Tiger Lily, a petite tortie with gorgeous green eyes, a wonderfully quirky tail, and a whole lot of spirit packed into her little body! At around 2 years old, this tiny but mighty girl has already proven herself to be an incredible mother. Found outdoors with her three kittens, Tiger Lily did everything she could to protect, raise, and teach her babies how to survive, relying on her own instincts and strength with very little human help.

When Tiger Lily first came into rescue, she was understandably protective of her kittens and cautious around people. Once her babies were taken care of, though, she began to let her guard down and show everyone her softer side. It turns out that underneath that fierce mama exterior is a girl who genuinely enjoys human affection!

Tiger Lily loves being pet and brushed, and one of her favorite things is being cradled like a baby. Give her a cozy blanket or a soft bed, and she'll be happy to settle in and make biscuits to her heart's content. She also has an adorably kinked tail that zigzags back and forth, giving this already special girl an extra bit of character.

Tiger Lily seems to be more of a people-purrson than a cat purrson. She can coexist with other cats and does a good job of communicating her boundaries while maintaining her personal space, but she appears most comfortable when she doesn't have to share too much of herself or her territory. For that reason, we think she would be happiest as the only cat in her home, where she can enjoy being the center of attention without other feline personalities to navigate.

Tiger Lily also seems to feel more comfortable around women than men. Her experience with dogs and small children is unknown, so a thoughtful match will be important to help her continue building confidence and feeling secure.

After devoting so much of herself to raising her kittens, Tiger Lily deserves a chance to be someone's baby. She has a sweet, affectionate side just waiting to shine in a home that respects her boundaries and lets her settle in at her own pace. If you have a soft spot for a strong little survivor who loves cozy comforts, gentle affection, and making biscuits, Tiger Lily could be the perfect companion for you!
