Please note: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat ( under 3 ) or kitten to keep them company. Two is better than one, twice the fun and 1/2 the work
Oct 18th - Please read Skye's bio, requirements for adoption and if you think she would be a good fit then go to avacats.org to fill out an online application form. An adoption co ordinator will be in touch
Skye and her littermates/BFF's Frankie, Josh, Clementine, Marjorie, & Jewel were rescued with another 6 kittens from a rural area around 6 weeks of age or so. They had Upper respiratory infection and were treated with antibiotics . fast forward a month and they are now ready for adoption. Skye has been flea treated, dewormed twice, received her 1st FVCRP vaccine and microchip. Her booster FVCRP vaccine plus rabies is the responsibility of her new owner and must be completed prior to her spay at 5 months by AVA which is included in her $275 adoption fee. This is what her foster mom has to say about Skye : "She is a laid-back little sweetheart who loves lounging around and enjoying cozy naps with her siblings. She loves cuddling up with her furry friends and soaking up those peaceful moments. She knows how to appreciate the simple joys of a comfy spot and a snuggly lap." It would be great if Skye could find a home with one of her littermates if not she MUST go to a home with another young cat or kitten to keep her company. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy. Little kittens are not appropriate for children under the age of 6. It is recommended that she start out in a safe room with food, litter and toys until she adjusts to a new environment. They are in a foster home in Burlington.
