Axel - CHOW HOUND - Tabby Cat for Adoption in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Meet Axel, a striking gray polydactyl tabby who came to us from the east side of the state. Axel was adopted once and then returned to the shelter where he was adopted but they would not take him back so he made his way to Second Chance. Shelter overcrowding is an issue everywhere, especially on the east side of the state. We do not know why Axel was returned as he is a great cat. Could be the adopters lost their home or died or something that did not allow them to continue to care for him.

Axel has wonderful, great big paws. He has multiple toes not only his front feet, but his back feet, too! It's fun to watch him walk. Axel is a very confident cat and is not fearful. He can command a room and is very curious and inquisitive. Axel likes to walk on laps and loves pets. He is driven for affection and attention and likes to play. Axel is gregarious but is also very sweet and loving.

Axel would be great for a single adopter, a couple, or a family with older respectful children. We think Axel would do best as an only cat as it seems he may not be too fond of at least other male kitties.

Axel has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Axel has an approximate birthdate of 05/06/2023. His adoption fee is $95.
