Persephone Peach Rose - Tabby and Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Friendswood, Texas

Meet Persephone Peach Rose

At almost six months old, Persephone is the cutest big-eared tabby kitten with a playful streak, a sweet little soul, and a purr that seems almost too powerful for such a tiny body.

Persephone is discovering that the world is a pretty wonderful place full of toys, adventures, treats, and people who think she’s absolutely adorable. She’s the type of girl who likes to take a moment to size things up before diving right in. She has a touch of kitten shyness at first, although shy isn’t quite the right word. Persephone is confident she just likes to take things slow and dip her toes in first.

Or maybe she’s already figured out that taking her time is the fastest way to get the best treats and toys offered to her.

Break out a tasty treat and a fun toy, give her a little time to get comfortable, and you’ll quickly see her sweet personality shine.

Once she settles in, Persephone reveals herself to be exactly the kind of kitten people fall in love with. She’s playful and curious, happily batting toys across the room and chasing after anything that looks remotely entertaining. She has that perfect kitten balance of wanting to explore the world while still appreciating all the comforts of being safe, loved, and spoiled.

And then there is her purr.

Persephone purrs to the heavens. For such a tiny girl, she somehow produces a deep, happy rumble that seems to turn on the moment she realizes affection is headed her way. It’s one of those purrs that makes you smile every single time you hear it.

She is also a devoted fan of kitty treats. In Persephone’s opinion, treats may very well be one of humanity’s greatest inventions, and they’ve proven to be an excellent way to fast-track friendship. Once you’ve made it onto Persephone’s list of favorite people, you’ll discover a kitten who is incredibly gentle, loving, and sweet.

Persephone is currently enjoying life alongside her littermate and would be happy joining a home with another friendly feline companion. With a little patience while she settles in, you’ll get to watch this sweet girl go from carefully checking things out to showing off the playful, loving personality her foster family knows so well.

If you’ve been looking for a kitten with a soft heart, a playful spirit, giant ears, and a purr powerful enough to rival kittens twice her size, Persephone Peach Rose might just be the little treasure you’ve been waiting for.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.

We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
