Rory Rowan - Tuxedo and Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Friendswood, Texas

Rory has one of those unforgettable faces that makes you do a double take. With his striking black-and-white markings and wonderfully unique little features, there's something almost otherworldly about him. His look might stop you in your tracks, but it's his quiet, gentle personality that will convince you to stay. Rory isn't the kind of kitten who insists on being the center of attention. Instead, he's perfectly content finding a cozy spot nearby, watching the world go by, and slowly letting you discover what a sweet little companion he truly is.

Estimated to be around 6 months old, Rory is a black-and-white domestic shorthair kitten, though as with all rescue kittens, his age is simply our best educated guess. Take a look at his cuteness in motion here- https://youtu.be/v75QotiuItw

Rory is growing up exactly the way every kitten hopes to, in a loving foster home where he's learning that life is full of comfortable naps, kind people, and good company. He shares his home with both other cats and a dog, giving him experience living alongside a variety of furry roommates. His foster describes him as wonderfully mellow, and if Rory had the chance to design his perfect day, it would almost certainly involve claiming his favorite recliner for an afternoon nap before accepting a few well-earned head scratches.

Like many thoughtful kittens, Rory can be a little shy when meeting someone new. He's the type who prefers to take a moment to observe before diving into the action. The beautiful thing is that once he realizes he's safe, his softer, affectionate side quietly begins to shine. He isn't dramatic about it. One day you'll simply notice he's sitting a little closer, following you from room to room, or happily curling up beside you as though he's always belonged there.

Because of his easygoing nature, Rory would be happy as your one-and-only feline companion if that's what you're looking for. At the same time, he's already proven he enjoys sharing his home with both cats and a respectful dog, making him an easy addition to many different households. His adaptable personality gives him the flexibility to fit into a variety of homes, whether peaceful and quiet or gently bustling with other pets.

Rory would likely appreciate a family willing to let him settle in at his own pace. Give him a little patience in the beginning, and you'll earn the trust of a kitten whose companionship feels all the more special because it was given so genuinely.

If you're looking for a kitten with movie-star looks, a peaceful heart, and a personality that's equal parts cozy companion and quiet best friend, Rory may be exactly who you've been waiting for.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you've found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.

We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
