Meet Thonalan! This handsome gray and white tabby boy is a total sweetheart with a friendly personality and plenty of kitten energy. He's confident, loves people, and is completely comfortable making new friends. Whether it's playtime, exploring, or soaking up attention, Thonalan is happy to be part of the action!

Thonalan comes from a pretty special family. His mama, Ayla, and all ten kittens were named after characters from The Clan of the Cave Bear, a favorite childhood book of the kind person who helped save them. In the book, Ayla is a strong, independent, and resilient young girl who overcomes tremendous adversity. It turns out the name was quite fitting for this real-life mama, too!

Ayla spent over a year surviving outdoors, cared for by kind neighbors who made sure she had food. After having one litter of kittens, she became pregnant again when her babies were only three weeks old. Thankfully, those wonderful neighbors reached out for help, and Ayla was safely brought into foster care just TWO days before giving birth to TEN kittens!

With ten hungry mouths to feed, mama Ayla needed a little help, so her foster family supplemented the babies with kitten milk replacer. That meant Thonalan and his siblings were handled, cuddled, and loved by people from the very beginning. And boy, does it show! These kittens are exceptionally social and comfortable around humans.

Thonalan has a very special look-alike: his brother Jondalar! These two were lovingly nicknamed our "mini-me's" because they look so much like their mama, Ayla. They're almost identical, but there's one little trick to telling them apart: Jondalar has a white stripe down his back, just like his momma. Thonalan doesn't have that distinguishing stripe, so now you know who's who!

Having grown up in a family of ten, Thonalan is very comfortable around other cats and would love a home with one of his siblings or another young, playful kitty to be his best friend.
