Lark - Siamese Cat for Adoption in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Estimated DOB: October 2024

Meet Lark

Lark’s story is one of survival, second chances, and a whole village of people refusing to give up on her.

Her journey first became known in November 2025, when she was spotted outside a Hy-Vee grocery store. As the winter cold set in, Lark could often be found sitting near the store doors, seemingly looking for warmth and help. Concerned community members shared her on local Facebook pages, provided her with food, and even set up a warming shelter to help her survive the winter.

Then, in March 2026, Lark appeared again—this time extremely pregnant and badly injured. A caring community member reached out to an All Cats Rescue volunteer, who connected with For the Love of Animals to help safely trap her. Working together, they were able to get Lark to safety.

Once caught, they discovered just how much she had been through. Her tail had been degloved, and she had several puncture wounds. Lark was transported to Sioux Falls, where she received the veterinary care she desperately needed.

Safe in foster care, Lark finally had a warm, quiet place to rest. Soon afterward, she gave birth to her babies and proved to be a wonderful mama. As her kittens grew, Lark’s wounds healed—and so did a little bit of her heart. With patience and kindness, she began learning that humans could be trusted.

Today, Lark enjoys a peaceful environment, the companionship of other cats, and being near her human friends. She’s curious about what her people are doing and likes being part of the action in her own quiet way.

So many people helped Lark reach this chapter. Now there’s just one piece of her village missing: her forever family.

Help us find the home where Lark will never have to wonder where her next meal, warm bed, or safe place will come from again.
