PADFOOT — THE BOY WHO WAS NEVER FERAL
Sometimes, the cats who are hardest to reach are the ones who have been hurting the longest.
Meet PADFOOT, a breathtaking 2-year-old Blue Point Siamese with a story that deserves to be told.
Somewhere along the way, PADFOOT was given a label: Feral!
A word that suggested he didn’t want human affection. That he couldn’t be touched. That perhaps he simply wasn’t meant to be someone’s beloved companion.
But here’s the thing about labels, sometimes, they’re terribly, terribly wrong.
You see, PADFOOT wasn’t feral.
PADFOOT was in pain.
He was suffering from a painful condition known as pillow foot, which had left his precious little paws infected and hurting.
Imagine being frightened, uncomfortable, and unable to explain to anyone why you didn’t want to be touched.
Thankfully, PADFOOT got the medical care he so desperately needed, including surgery on his paws.
And then something beautiful happened.
The real PADFOOT began to emerge.
The boy who was once considered untouchable discovered that human hands could bring comfort instead of fear.
That head scratches feel absolutely wonderful.
That gentle pets are something to lean into rather than shy away from.
And that maybe, just maybe, people aren’t so bad after all.
Today, PADFOOT is showing us more of his sweet personality every day.
Will he need a little time to settle into his forever home? Probably. After everything he’s endured, we think he’s earned the right to take life at his own pace.
But here’s what we know about cats like PADFOOT...
There is something extraordinarily special about earning the love of an animal who once had every reason to be afraid.
That first head bump.
That moment he leans into your hand.
The day you realize he’s no longer wondering whether he can trust you.
He already does.
And suddenly, all the patience in the world feels like such a small price to pay for something so priceless.
PADFOOT isn’t looking for someone to fix him. He’s already done the hard part. He’s looking for someone who will love the beautiful boy he was always meant to be.

Filling out an application does not guarantee adoption of a particular cat or kitten. We receive many applications for each listed cat, and we review them carefully to ensure a good fit. Of approvable applications, we give precedence to the earliest that we receive.
All of our cats and kittens are rescues and seek loving homes.
All of our cats are spayed/neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV and FeLV, as well as given flea, heartworm, and ear mite prevention.
We do not DNA or allergy test our cats. We cannot guarantee the breed mix, as we are a rescue, not breeders.
Please note that we are a privately run rescue. We are not government funded and get very few donations. The care that we provide, the animals that we rescue, all costs are covered out of pocket, so our adoption fees are higher than what you may find at a funded or government shelter.
