MEET DELPHINE
4-year-old Persian • Professional Victorian Widow • Retired Breeder
Please allow us to introduce DELPHINE.
DELPHINE came to us from a breeder situation, where life wasn’t exactly what a beautiful little Parisian Persian deserved.
DELPHINE has retired from her former life...her days of being a breeder are behind her, and she is now accepting applications for a new position:
Deeply Concerned Victorian Widow Seeking Household to Supervise
DELPHINE has penetrating, amber eyes, that seem to have seen it all! This little lady knows what she wants.
She has magnificent hair.
She has a tiny little face that somehow manages to convey disappointment, suspicion, and mild outrage simultaneously!
And she would like you to know that her groceries should be served promptly.
Her qualifications include:
-Looking tragically beautiful
-Judging household decisions
-Supervising the help
-Wearing an enormous amount of hair
-Making you feel vaguely guilty despite having done absolutely nothing wrong
-And beginning every morning as though she’s just received troubling correspondence from Europe
Underneath all that glorious Persian drama, though, is a little girl who deserves something she may never have truly had before:
A home where she is nobody’s breeder.
Nobody’s commodity.
Nobody’s means to an end.
Loved because she’s DELPHINE.
At four years old, she has an entire beautiful life ahead of her—and from this point forward, we intend for it to include soft beds, gentle hands, excellent groceries, and people who understand that they are technically living in her house.
Welcome to your new life, DELPHINE!
Your Victorian widow era has officially begun.
Filling out an application does not guarantee adoption of a particular cat or kitten. We receive many applications for each listed cat, and we review them carefully to ensure a good fit. Of approvable applications, we give precedence to the earliest that we receive.
All of our cats and kittens are rescued, or surrendered to us by their previous owners, and now seek loving, permanent homes.
All of our cats are spayed/neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV and FeLV, as well as given flea, heartworm, and ear mite prevention.
We do not DNA or allergy test our cats. We cannot guarantee the breed mix, as we are a rescue, not breeders.
Please note that we are a privately run rescue. We are not government funded and get very few donations. The care that we provide, the animals that we rescue, all costs are covered out of pocket, so our adoption fees are higher than what you may find at a funded or government shelter.
To request an application, email secondhandsiamese2@gmail.com.
For other questions, call/text John at 914-441-3239.
DO NOT CALL OR TEXT FOR APPLICATIONS!
We DO NOT have "meet and greet" visitations. All adoption appointments are made after we have approved your application.
