Poppy - Siamese Cat for Adoption in Maple Ridge, British Columbia

Poppy is a real beauty, but she's also a shy girl looking for someone who will take the time to get to know her beyond her pretty face. She is 1.5 years old and was found living in the walls of an abandoned house. When she first arrived with us, Poppy was incredibly skittish, spending much of her time tucked away in the safest corners she could find. Poppy is still shy and cautious with new faces, but with the people she knows, she's starting to let her friendly, curious purrsonality peek through. She's not ready for hands-on affection just yet, but she'll welcome a little hand sniff and the occasional soft pet. Poppy's even starting to seek people out, following you around and chirping as she goes. She has a playful side and enjoys a little fun, but is also a big fan of her nap time! Poppy can often be found curled up in a cat tree, happily snoozing the day away.

Fast movements and loud noises can still make Poppy nervous, so a soft, slow approach is best. Poppy will thrive in a calm, quiet, adult-only home with adopters who understand shy kitties and that trust is built one little step at a time. She'll need someone happy to let her set the pace and cheer her on as she continues to come out of her shell. Poppy may be shy with people, but she's a social butterfly with other cats! She "must" have a feline friend in her future home for companionship and to help build her confidence. Poppy is a healthy girl with purrfect litter box manners.

Poppy will take a little time to show you her whole heart, but this sweet girl will be worth the wait.
