Meet our senior tortie Diva. This 14 year old gal really embraces Beyonce’s song lyrics to her core. She is truly a diva. Due to her blue eyes and light coloration, we suspect she may be some sort of a mix of a Siamese. When you meet her at the kennel, sometimes she’s into attention and other times.. she simply is not. This is common in older cats and can be a classic behavior trait of a “tortie-tude”. During her vet examination, Diva did great – soliciting pets, purring up a storm, walking around rubbing against people. Diva arrived to the Shelter after her senior guardian could no longer care for her. She is looking to be the Queen Bee of her adoptive home. Being a senior gal, her adoption fee is reduced to $75. Could that be with you? Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
