Hazelnut - Himalayan Cat for Adoption in Black Mountain, North Carolina

We were contacted by the Henderson County Shelter when 13-year-old Hazelnut was turned in as a stray. She is microchipped but the phone number was out of service. Obviously, this poor girl had a home at some point but nothing is known of her history. She is now in a foster home in Hendersonville.

Hazelnut is very sweet, shy, and compliant. She was obviously well-loved and well-cared for in her former home because she has good teeth and her fur and skin are in good shape. She was very compliant when a groomer trimmed her nails and shaved a potty patch.

Hazelnut isn't yet a lap cat, but she will sit beside her person and loves being petted.

We don't know anything about her history with other animals, but she is intimated by the cat in her foster home. She would do well as an only cat or perhaps with another gentle cat who won't take advantage of her gentleness.
