Garbanzo Bean has the energy of someone who already understands that not every situation requires maximum effort!
While some kittens are determined to be the center of every activity, Garbanzo Bean seems perfectly happy letting the world come to her. She has a gentle, easygoing nature that makes her feel older than her age. Pick her up, hold her close, and she's likely to settle right in as though she had plans to be there all along. There is something wonderfully uncomplicated about her. She enjoys affection, enjoys company, and doesn't feel the need to make a big production out of either.

You'll see a kitten who seems completely comfortable soaking up attention. Watch her relax while being held, spend time alongside her brother, and show off the calm confidence that makes her such an easy companion. One of the sweetest things you'll notice is how content she is simply being included. While the excitement of play unfolds around her, Garbanzo Bean often seems happy to sit back, observe, and enjoy the moment!
Estimated to be around 5 months old, with an estimated birthday of March 21, 2026, Garbanzo Bean is an orange tabby kitten with adorable polydactyl paws and appears to be a possible Manx mix, though as with all rescue cats, her breed and age are simply our best educated guess.
Garbanzo Bean is part of a litter of seven kittens who have spent much of their young lives overcoming challenges. After being found in a shelter, the litter was brought to the Cat Barn, where they entered quarantine due to ringworm treatment and exposure to panleukopenia. They've been making wonderful progress and are looking so much healthier, but because of those circumstances, most of the kittens have had very limited opportunities to experience life in a home environment.
Despite that lack of experience, Garbanzo Bean adapted surprisingly quickly when given the chance. She's been sweet from the start. Being picked up? No problem. Hanging out in someone's arms? Sounds great. Exploring a new environment? She approached it with a quiet confidence that made the transition look easy!
What stands out most about Garbanzo Bean isn't that she's the boldest kitten in the room. It's that she doesn't seem to feel the need to be. During content sessions with her sibling, Kidney Bean, she was perfectly happy letting him handle most of the action while she relaxed nearby. Not because she was uninterested, but because she genuinely seems content taking life at her own pace. She's playful when the mood strikes, affectionate when someone offers attention, and remarkably easy to spend time with!
Like the rest of her litter, Garbanzo Bean is comfortable spending time in a kennel or crate because that's been a regular part of her routine during quarantine. As she continues experiencing more of the world beyond the Cat Barn, we expect her confidence to keep growing. She's already shown that new environments don't keep her unsettled for long.
Living with Garbanzo Bean feels like it would be wonderfully peaceful. She's the kitten who curls up beside you while you're working, accepts cuddles without negotiation, and quietly becomes part of your daily routine before you even realize how attached you've become.
If Garbanzo Bean sounds like she'd be a good fit for your home, we'd love for you to meet her. She is looking for a home that will continue introducing her to all the comforts of home life while appreciating the sweet, gentle personality she already has!
