He's the gentle giant of this family, and he is devoted right down to his bones. Not "will tolerate being held," not "warms up eventually." He seeks you out, settles in, and stays. He'll bat a toy around and chase a feather with real enthusiasm, but he doesn't play anywhere near as hard as his sisters, and when the game ends he goes right back to what he actually loves: being close to his person, watching you, keeping quiet company. Here's how you'll always know it's him: right on his chest he wears one little white locket, the only one in the whole family. His coat is glossy black tabby with a silver undercoat that catches the light, plus big radar ears, warm gold eyes that go right to the camera, and a tongue that likes to hang out. He's also a serious eater with a round little belly to show for it.

Now imagine the rest of it. Movie night, and there's a warm weight on your chest before the opening credits finish. A hard Monday, and the first thing that greets you is a kitten who's been saving that spot all day. This is a cat who will shadow you room to room and turn into the best friend you didn't know you were missing. Because he's so gentle and easygoing, he's a great fit for just about any home, kids of any age, dogs, resident cats, a new address. None of it fazes him.

The practical stuff is handled: he's never missed a litter box, he's polite and mild-mannered, and he's current on all his vaccines and preventive care with a clean bill of health.
