Maury - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in York, Pennsylvania

Maury is a cat with a lot to say, and we mean that literally! He's happy to let us know that the shelter cage is a big pain in his butt, and he wants to rule the roost! Maury loves running around checking out the doors, climbing up high, and living a good active cat life for his age. Maury was a loyal band cat for at least 14 years before his retirement due to the passing of his owner. Maury is incredibly food motivated, so you should watch your countertops and other food around him. Maury been eating a special diet to help his stomach with the transition to the shelter. We do recommend he stays on soaked dry food or wet food long-term due to his complete and total lack of all teeth (but one).

Maury lived with a group of other cats and was fine to continue to live with them in the shelter; we haven't introduced him to any new cat since coming in. We have a hard time imagining him as a tough to get along with fellow, though! He's easygoing like that. We don't know how Maury would handle dogs or small children, but we recommend anyone considering this sweetheart senior give him a try! Maury is looking for a family to accompany him through a wonderful final chapter to a life well-lived.
