To keep warm on cool nights, you need Arctic to be your lap warmer! This loving 9-year-old senior kitty came to the shelter after his owner passed away. He's a sweetheart who loves to say hello in his mild-mannered little old man way, rolling over and purring up a storm while he gives head butts to people. Arctic can get mouthy when he's had enough loving (what is often called "love bites"), but he is gentle and does not intend to hurt you when he does it. He just doesn't know how else to communicate all those big feelings in his body! Arctic does seem to enjoy being held and would be a lovely companion for someone respectful of his boundaries-the more you respect him, the more he'll want to love on you!

Arctic was in a home with many other dogs and cats. Though we can't testify to how he interacted with them due to the passing of his owner, we suspect he was able to coexist thanks to his easygoing, gentle personality and lack of reaction to his new shelter neighbors. And while don't know how Arctic would feel about living with small children, he has enjoyed all the people he's met so far, so we think he could be a good choice for many families. Those looking for a loving older boy in need of a soft space to land would find no better match than Arctic.
