Meet Nova! If you're looking for a cat who takes cuddling seriously, Nova would like to apply for the position. This sweet 3-year-old girl loves being close to her person. She's a lap cat who will curl into the crook of your arm, rest her head on you and happily stay there for as long as you'll let her. While you're petting her, she may even give your arm a few affectionate licks. And once that big purr gets going, don't expect it to stop just because the petting does!Nova can be shy with people she doesn't know and likes to take a moment to make sure everything is okay before joining in. Once she feels comfortable, however, her affectionate personality really comes out. She loves rolling around for attention and will even happily accept belly rubs from people she trusts. Nova also enjoys chatting from time to time, chasing a laser toy and sitting in the window watching everything happening outside.Nova was raised with her sister, Luna, and the two have always gotten along well. They were nearly inseparable as youngsters, but over the past year they've become more independent and are now described by their owner as more like good friends and roommates. They could certainly continue their lives together, but may also be able to find homes separately.Nova may take a little longer than her sister to introduce herself, but give her the chance to feel comfortable and you may find a very devoted little companion curled up beside you—or right in your lap.
