*AMETHYST - German Shepherd Dog Dog for Adoption in Woodland, California

Amethyst is a beautiful, 5-month-old German Shepherd/Husky mix who loves to play as much as she can. She often plays with Shelter Volunteers for an hour before tiring out, which is normal for her breed—she's an athlete! She'll be a great candidate if you want a loyal family dog who is into hiking, running, and any other active adventure!- She is learning the “sit” command—once she knows treats are out, she is laser-focused, making her very trainable.- As a young pup, she is jumpy and mouthy, but is improving. She would of course need continued training to become the well-behaved companion she is meant to be.- Loves games and toys—balls, ropes, tug of war (her favorite)- Very active dog breed mix, so will need long walks and play, along with training sessions to acclimate her to your lifestyle and family and to wear her out daily.Amethyst is affectionate and loyal, and will make a great family dog, but she needs adventures and activities.
