Hello, I'm Ruby, a 1-year-old Medium Domestic Shorthair Mix weighing 7.54 pounds, and I'm hoping my forever family is out there waiting to meet me.
I'm happiest in a calm, peaceful home where I can take my time getting to know new people. I may be a little shy at first, but with gentle handling, patience, and kindness, my sweet personality begins to shine. Once I trust you, I'll happily follow you from room to room, curl up on your lap or beside you on the couch, and ask for head bumps, chin scratches, ear rubs, and plenty of cuddles. I get along well with other cats and I'm comfortable with children, including little ones, making me a wonderful companion for a loving family.
If I could imagine my perfect afternoon, it would start with bird watching from a sunny window, followed by a few playful pounces on fuzzy mice, jingle bells, feather wands, laser pointers, or catnip toys. After enjoying a Churu treat, Delectables, or a few Temptations, I'd settle into a cozy pet bed or my favorite perch while you read a book nearby. That sounds like a pretty wonderful life to me.
I enjoy a regular diet and can have food available throughout the day, eating when I'm hungry. I'll need regular nail trims, moderate exercise, fun play sessions, and plenty of mental enrichment to keep me happy. Most of all, I'm looking for a patient family that understands I may need a little time to settle in before becoming your loyal little shadow.
