Abbott - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Wilmington, North Carolina

Meet Abbott!

Abbott is a handsome tuxedo kitten with beautiful black fur, adorable white markings, and a long, elegant tail! This lovable boy has a heart as sweet as they come and is ready to trade outdoor living for a safe, cozy home where he can enjoy all the love and attention he deserves.

Abbott came to us through our TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) program. He had been living at an apartment complex where someone was feeding him, and he was originally going to be returned there after being neutered. But Abbott had other plans! Every time we cared for him, he would purr up a storm and happily let us hold him. He was such a sweetheart that we couldn't help thinking he deserved a chance at a much better life indoors.

Abbott ended up staying with us a little longer than usual because he wasn't feeling well after his neuter surgery. During that time, we got to know him even better and realized what a special boy he is. We felt he deserved more than the uncertainties and dangers of outdoor life. He deserved a chance to grow up safe, healthy, and loved!

Now Abbott is thriving in his foster home. He loves to play and gets along well with his foster friends. He's a little bigger than the other kittens and already weighs around 6 pounds, so we suspect he may grow into a big, handsome boy! He enjoys joining the other fosters when they're running around playing and would likely be happiest with a feline playmate his own size or larger who can keep up with him.

With proper introductions and time to adjust, we also think Abbott could do well in a home with children or a dog.

Abbott has already shown us what a loving, affectionate boy he is. Now he just needs someone to give him the forever home he deserves—a place where he can play, purr, snuggle, and never have to worry about life outdoors again.

If you're looking for a sweet, playful tuxedo boy with beautiful black fur, a long tail, and a big heart, Abbott may be just the companion you've been waiting for!
