Meet Marlion!

This super friendly guy is an absolute love bug! He came to Heartland from Chicago Animal Care and Control on May 27th where had had been turned in as an owner surrender 20 days prior to Heartland pulling him. He is currently residing in a lovely foster home. His foster family has a lot of wonderful things to say about him. They said, " Marlion is incredibly sweet and friendly, so friendly that we think he will do best in a home where he is not left alone for too long at a time. He required zero "settling in" time, and was instantly curious to explore, play, and receive all the love and attention we could give him. He uses his litter box perfectly. We believe he would do well with children and other pets, because his temperament is just so incredibly easy going."

Marlion is neutered, up-to-date on his FVRCP and Rabies vaccines, and he is FIV negative.

He did test positive for feline leukemia. Feline leukemia is a retrovirus that infects cats and it can be transmitted from infected cats when the transfer of saliva or nasal secretions is involved. It is usually recommended that cats who are positive for feline leukemia, live with other cats who also test positive. Please feel free to ask our Heartland Team for a more in-depth overview.
