Meet Winifred, a gorgeous 1-year-old girl with a heart full of love just waiting for the right person!

Winifred experiences a little bit of "stranger danger" at first. She will be shy when meeting new people, but once she is settled with you in your home, you won't be a stranger for long. As she warms up, her true personality shines through, revealing a total lap kitty who will gladly give back all the affection you shower on her.

At just one year old, she still has a wonderful, playful side! Winifred knows what she wants out of life, and that means being the queen of her castle. She strongly prefers to be an only pet—no other cats or dogs, please—so she can enjoy all your love and attention.

Her perfect family will have the patience to let her come out of her shell at her own natural pace. She would do well in a calm home with patient older children who understand giving a shy cat her space to blossom.

These fees fund spay/neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, and combo testing (feline leukemia and FIV) for your adopted cat, rescue efforts, shelter, and veterinary care. Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two!
