Ozzie - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Waltham, Massachusetts

Say hello to Ozzie, a handsome 3-to-4-year-old boy with a big heart and a wonderful, outgoing personality!

Ozzie’s journey brought him to us through no fault of his own after his owner needed to transition into a long-term care facility. While he has been through a big life change, Ozzie has remained resilient, deeply affectionate, and completely trusting of the world around him.

Ozzie is the total package when it comes to personality. He is fearless around new people, greeting strangers with warmth and curiosity right away. During a recent visit to the vet, he wasn't phased in the slightest and even showed polite interest in all the new scents and a big, hairy dog in the waiting room! At 3 to 4 years young, he still has plenty of fun, adolescent energy and loves interactive play. While he can sometimes get a little spirited during playtime, it's always in good fun, and wand toys are his absolute favorite.

When playtime is over, Ozzie shines as a total cuddle bug. He loves being close to his favorite humans, soaking up affection, and helping out with whatever you're doing. In fact, if you're sitting at your computer, expect Ozzie to hop right up onto the desk to inspect your work and be near you!

Ozzie is in fantastic health, fully vaccinated, at a perfect weight, and completely trained on both his litter box and scratching posts. His only real quirk is that he enjoys nibbling on house plants, so he'll just need a home with cat-safe foliage or greenery kept safely out of reach. If you are looking for a sweet, curious, and devoted buddy to join your family, Ozzie is ready to fill your home with love, so apply to adopt Ozzie today!

These fees fund spay/neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, and combo testing (feline leukemia and FIV) for your adopted cat, rescue efforts, shelter, and veterinary care. Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two!
