It's almost spooky season... are you interested in two black cats that will give you all of the good luck? Meet Mikey (f) and Ike (m)! These two were found living outdoors in West Caldwell, and have settled into the luxury of indoor life! Two volunteers for our rescue were walking to a date-night dinner, when they came upon their neighbors attempting to capture these two babies. They stepped in to offer assistance, brought them into their home, and got them ready for their wonderful foster home!
Mikey is super sweet and trusts people. She instantly purrs when you go to pet her and hold her, and she taught her brother Ike that people are safe to trust. The pair is litter box trained, and their foster shared that love to be with one another so much that they sometimes look like a two-headed cat! They love playing together and are loving the indoor life!They are both still kittens with all of their kitten energy, but thankfully they will have each other for entertainment and engagement. Mikey has wide eyes and a small white patch just below her neck on her chest. Ike has a a little bit of white fur on his tail tip that is just too cute to ignore. They are thriving in foster and are looking to find a family that will love on them the way they deserve. Their initial wellness visit at our amazing vet was great, and they are ready to find a safe place to all their forever home.
Mikey and Ike have started their vaccination schedule, but are not yet spayed and neutered due to their age. The good news is that because we are a licensed, registered 501(c)3 rescue with the state of NJ, they are eligible to be spayed/neutered for just $20 each with proof of adoption (adoption contract) through the NJ Low Cost Spay/Neuter Grant Program. It's super-easy, just present our contract at a participating vet and make their appts! Our local vet participates, and you may just find yours does too!
