Jim Bean and Evan Williams were rescued when they were very small and wouldn't have survived on their own. Luckily they were brought to their foster home where they were cared for and allowed to grow up safe, healthy, and into two of the most entertaining and endearing kittens you are ever going to meet.
Jim Bean took the longest to warm up — but as it turns out, the wait was absolutely worth it. Once this boy decided he was comfortable, he didn't just come around — he took over. He is now, by all accounts, the king of the household, a title he wears with complete ease and zero apology. He is the biggest cuddler of the bunch, but cuddling doesn't quite cover it — Jim snuggles in ALL the way, burrowing in with a commitment that is both impressive and deeply satisfying. Rub his chin or belly just right and he will reward you with the most contented biscuit making you have ever witnessed. He is also the chattiest of the pair — not in an obnoxious way, but in the manner of someone who simply has thoughts about the day and fully expects you to understand and appreciate his commentary. His personality is only getting bigger as he grows, and wherever this boy ends up, there is absolutely no question about who is in charge. One more thing worth noting: Jim has strong feelings about mealtime and even stronger feelings about his siblings' meals, so his foster mom has found that separate feeding arrangements work best for everyone involved.
Evan Williams is a different kind of wonderful entirely. This boy is the jester, the wild child, the one who is still playing long after everyone else has given up and gone to sleep. His weapon of choice is a little fuzzy mouse, which he carries around by the tail with the pride of a seasoned hunter. He loves to explore any place he has been told he cannot be, pokes his nose into absolutely everything, and brings a boundless, joyful energy to whatever is happening around him. And then — just like that — the wild child transforms into a cuddle monster. When nap time arrives, Evan's preference is clear and non-negotiable: he will be on top of a sibling, or failing that, a human will do just fine. He was the first of his litter to find a lap and he has never forgotten how good that felt.
Together, Jim Bean and Evan Williams are endlessly entertaining, deeply affectionate, and absolutely hilarious to watch. One holds court. One holds the fuzzy mouse. Both will hold your heart completely.
Jim and Evan have been fostered with a dog and would do just fine with a cat-friendly pup. They would also do well with children who know how to be gentle with animals.
Two big personalities, one great pair — Jim Bean and Evan Williams are ready for their forever home. Are you ready for them?
The adoption fee is $250 (total).
Jim and Evan were born around 6/7/26. They have been neutered and vaccinated. They are litter box trained.
We recommend adopting two kittens if you have no other pets (or even if you do), because you will get twice the love with less work and they will develop fewer behavioral issues, while costs remain relatively similar.
We are located in the Columbia Gorge area in OR/WA (this is where the kittens are fostered), but we are able to transport to those locations where we advertise (i.e. Seattle and Portland area). There isn't an additional fee for transport, but any additional donation to help support what our little group does is appreciated.
When responding to this ad, please provide a phone number where you can be reached. Having an alternate means to contact people is helpful, since our email can end up in SPAM. Please also provide some information on your home. For example: Do you have small children? How many? Is your home life quiet or busy? Do you live in a rural or urban area? Do you have any other pets? What else should we know?
All of the kittens at Pawsitivity are fostered in homes where they are cared for and socialized. We don't keep kittens in cages (except maybe at bedtime). Our foster parents are able to learn each of their personalities this way and determine the best home for them. We also make sure all kittens are healthy before placing them in their forever home.
