Jack Daniels and his siblings were rescued when he was very small and wouldn't have survived on his own. Luckily he was brought to his foster home where he was cared for and allowed to grow up safe, healthy, and into one of the most naturally cool kittens you are ever going to meet.
Jack Daniels is, in a word, smooth. This boy has a pirate's swagger in his step and a nonchalant air about him that makes everything he does look effortless. He was the first of his siblings to venture out and explore, the first to accept pets, and the first to start asking for them — because Jack Daniels doesn't wait around for things to come to him. He just does it with a coolness that most cats spend a lifetime trying to achieve.
And yet for all his swagger, this boy is genuinely easygoing and adaptable. He is happy on a lap, happy exploring the house, and somehow seems to be perfectly content wherever he happens to be at any given moment. He doesn't rush into things — he is thoughtful and smart about new situations, taking them in with a calm, measured curiosity before deciding how to proceed. He also figured out the routines of his foster home faster than any of his siblings, because Jack Daniels pays attention. This is not a kitten who misses much.
One important note: Jack is looking for a home that already has a young cat or kitten in it. Single kitten syndrome is a real thing, and Jack would thrive with a feline buddy to grow alongside and learn from. He has plenty of confidence to share.
Jack has been fostered with a dog and would do just fine with a cat-friendly pup. He would also do well with children who know how to be gentle with animals.
Cool, confident, and completely charming — Jack Daniels is ready for his forever home. The only question is whether you're ready for him.
The adoption fee is $135.
Jack was born around 6/7/26. Jack has been neutered and vaccinated. He is litter box trained.
We recommend adopting two kittens if you have no other pets (or even if you do), because you will get twice the love with less work and they will develop fewer behavioral issues, while costs remain relatively similar.
We are located in the Columbia Gorge area in OR/WA (this is where the kittens are fostered), but we are able to transport to those locations where we advertise (i.e. Seattle and Portland area). There isn't an additional fee for transport, but any additional donation to help support what our little group does is appreciated.
When responding to this ad, please provide a phone number where you can be reached. Having an alternate means to contact people is helpful, since our email can end up in SPAM. Please also provide some information on your home. For example: Do you have small children? How many? Is your home life quiet or busy? Do you live in a rural or urban area? Do you have any other pets? What else should we know?
All of the kittens at Pawsitivity are fostered in homes where they are cared for and socialized. We don't keep kittens in cages (except maybe at bedtime). Our foster parents are able to learn each of their personalities this way and determine the best home for them. We also make sure all kittens are healthy before placing them in their forever home.
