It's hard to fathom what Marble lived through before being rescued. This gentle boy was living as a stray on the streets of Syracuse, eating scraps and trying to make it through the winter, when the unthinkable happened. He was shot through the neck. With a gaping, infected wound, Marble was doing whatever he could to survive. Thankfully, a kind woman saw him and reached out for help. He required 2 medical procedures to stitch his neck back together, but he did incredibly well and after a few months, he is fully healed!
Marble is just 1-2 years old and cute as a button with his spotted nose and silly smile when he looks up. He's shy, which is understandable given his history with people. He loves to be petted, including being scratched on his chin. His favorite toy is a long rope on a stick that he chases all over. He is very food motivated and gets so excited for squeeze treats and wet cat food! He needs a patient person who will let him take the time he needs to open up and show his full sweet self.
Marble has FIV, which means he can develop a compromised immune system and needs regular vet care. He is currently very healthy (and he healed from a huge gunshot wound!). He can live safely with other friendly cats.
