Hi, I'm Carmen!

I may not be the globe-trotting mystery you're thinking of, but I am a little elusive at first. I came from Chicago Animal Care and Control, and while life has been a bit of an adventure, I'm ready for my next chapter-one filled with cozy naps, gentle pets, and a family to call my own.

I'm a beautiful brown tabby with a quiet, calm nature. I'm still getting comfortable in new surroundings, so I like to take my time as I come out of my shell. The good news? Once you start petting me, I lean right in and soak up every bit of affection. It's my way of saying, "I think I can trust you."

I'm not the type to demand the spotlight. Instead, I'm looking for someone who appreciates the little moments-a soft purr, a gentle nuzzle, and the joy of watching a shy cat slowly blossom into a devoted companion.
