Captain Hook is a handsome 2-year-old black cat whose name may sound mischievous, but this sweet boy doesnt have a villainous bone in his body. In fact, Captain Hook is quite the opposite: gentle, shy, and quietly loving. When faced with new people or unfamiliar surroundings, Captain Hooks first instinct is never to hiss or growl — hed much rather find a safe hiding spot until he feels comfortable. But with a little patience and kindness, the real magic begins to appear. Once he settles in and realizes hes safe, Captain Hook slowly starts seeking out affection and enjoying attention from his people. One of the quickest ways to win this soft-hearted boy over? A good back scratch and some canned food. Those simple comforts go a long way toward earning his trust and showing him that the indoor life is a pretty wonderful place to be. Captain Hook gets along beautifully with other cats and would do well in a calm, understanding home willing to give him the time he needs to blossom.
