Meet Jade — A Little Shy, A Lot of Potential!
Jade is finally ready to begin searching for a family of her very own! Born around March 2024, this beautiful girl has come a long way on her journey from a barn colony to the possibility of a happy indoor life.
Jade arrived in rescue in late March with four little kittens to care for. She was an extremely frightened girl, but despite her fear, she was a wonderful mama. Her babies found loving homes months ago, and now it’s finally Jade’s turn to focus on herself and discover that humans can be pretty wonderful, too.
With the patience and dedication of her amazing foster mom, Jade has been making some beautiful breakthroughs. She no longer swats or hisses when approached, and she’s beginning to lean in for affection! She’s still figuring out exactly what this whole being petted thing is about, so sometimes she leans in for love and sometimes offers a few gentle, uncertain nibbles. She’s learning, and every little step forward is worth celebrating.
Jade is playful, loves treats, and absolutely enjoys the company of other cats. In fact, she has a particular soft spot for the boys! A friendly feline companion could be a wonderful addition to her new home, helping her feel comfortable and giving her another kitty to play with.
Sudden movements and people walking directly toward her can still send Jade running for cover. She’ll need a patient, calm home that understands trust must be earned and that she needs to make progress at her own pace. She may not be the cat who immediately curls up in your lap, but imagine the joy of being the person she learns to trust completely.
Jade isn’t a finished project, and she isn’t looking for someone to change her overnight. She’s looking for someone who will celebrate the little victories, respect her boundaries, and give her the time and space to discover just how good life can be.
Could you be the special person who helps Jade’s next chapter be her best one yet?
