Smokie is a loving, clever gentleman who knows exactly how to win you over. This affectionate boy loves pets and attention, and when bedtime rolls around, he’s happy to curl up beside you and purr the night away. He’s also quite the communicator! Smokie uses his meows to let you know when he wants something, and his expressive body language makes it easy to get to know his likes and dislikes. He has a curious mind and a knack for figuring things out, including how doors and cabinets work, so this smart boy may keep you on your toes!
While Smokie appreciates the finer things in life, like a cozy spot beside his favorite person, he has a playful side, too. He might need a little convincing to get a game started, but bring out a fishing-rod toy and let it flutter around his head, and you may just bring out his inner hunter. He can be cautious when something makes him nervous, but he’s thoughtful about exploring the world at his own pace. Smokie would love a home where he can feel safe, enjoy plenty of affection, and share his daily routines with someone who appreciates all the little quirks that make him special.
At 12 years old, Smokie deserves a comfortable home where he can enjoy his golden years with the care and companionship he loves. He has a dental cleaning coming up, which will address his current dental disease. He also has a mild heart murmur that will need a cardiology evaluation and ongoing monitoring. Smokie has been overgrooming and developing some skin irritation, so his care team is investigating the cause. He’s also working toward a healthier weight and benefits from regular brushing and hairball prevention. With a little extra attention to his health and lots of love, Smokie has so much wonderful companionship to offer his future family.
