Meet Granite and Junior, a bonded pair of cat brothers! They are approximately 1 year old.

Junior and Granite are sweet boys who had a hard start in life and are still learning what to expect when it comes to a life indoors with people that treat them well.

Junior is a long and lanky, short-haired, black & white tuxedo who loves to relax flopped out on the floor of whatever room his people are in, boss his brother Granite around, and find a high spot to nap. His favorite things include all treats, playing and chasing his brother through his cat tunnel, and jingle balls. Junior is social with his foster family, and making progress on not hiding when the house gets noisy or guests come to visit. Junior is obsessed with Churu tube treats and accepts full body pets when given his daily treat. He is learning to accept pets without treats when he is relaxed on a bed with people he trusts.

Granite is a soft gray tuxedo male who likes to spend his time completing epic day time naps, playing with and chasing Junior, and cuddling his bro on window ledges. He loves watching the world outside, carrying puffballs around in his mouth, and chasing string toys. Granite is shy and just starting to accept pets from trusted people when given tube treats during quiet moments, or if he is relaxed on his favorite window perch. When his foster family is active and noisy, he prefers to stay out of the way and hide, but comes out again to play and socialize when the house is quiet again.

For the right adopter who is willing to work on continued socialization with these handsome and formally dressed Tux boys, it will be a rewarding process to continue to teach them that pets by people are part of a good cat life. Regardless of if they ever become lap cats, Junior and Granite will make fun companions as they play together with their people. They get a little braver every day, so patience and treats will coax some snuggles out of them yet.

Together, they make a companionable and sweet pair.

What Granite and Junior are looking for in a home:

- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.
- They're new to indoor life with humans, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers can make them nervous.
- They'll need extra time and TLC to build trust.
- They have lots of kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.
- They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- They need to live indoors only.
- They have a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend close to their age.
- They have a positive history with dogs.
- They need children to respect their space.

All Alley Cat Projects cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:

- $200 per cat or kitten
- $350 for pair of cats or kittens
- $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)
- Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care
- Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts
