MIRTH AND MAYHEM: Malcolm arrived at the shelter in mid-July with his four crazy litter mates, who have now all gone on to their new homes, leaving this last little tabby quite lonely and longing for a home of his own. He still has his mama for companionship, but he is certainly missing the mirth, mayhem and mischief he enjoyed with his litter mates, and needs to find a home that will provide him more love and play than we can in our limited hours at the shelter. He is bursting at the seams to leave his life in confinement!
Malcolm is very playful, very active, and very social and affectionate with all humans he meets. He will be very good with other cats, and will enjoy the companionship of a dog, as long as the dog is not aggressive towards small creatures. He will be happy in a home with people of any age, especially children.
Malcolm is approximately 14 weeks old, and has not yet seen a vet, as he is still too young for neutering, but he has received de-wormers and flea treatments, and he is box-trained. His mama tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Adoption fee is $25 to cover basic costs at the shelter, plus a state-mandated $100 spay/neuter deposit, which is fully refundable upon proof of spay/neuter. Adopter assumes all medical costs, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Personal checks are accepted from R.I. residents only; all others may pay by credit/debit card or money order, payable to "Town of Scituate." No cash is accepted.
