DESCRIPTION
This dear boy arrived at the shelter with a sore eye and some abrasions on his neck. Under the attentive care of the medical staff, he started to heal and improved so much that he could be sent to foster. Here are some notes from the foster family. For two days this little guy hung out behind the books on the bookshelf. On Day 3 he decided to become a snuggly lap cat, and never looked back! Jet loves the company of people, and also loves a good play session with a stuffy or a string. His eye improved a little bit every day, and his wounds healed up perfectly. He still has a shaved patch on his neck, but that will all grow back with time. We loved having Jet in foster, watching his long-legged hijinx playing with his collection of toys. It was also quite endearing when he would climb into our laps and give us kisses and his good strong purr (a frequent occurrence). He loves a shoulder snuggle. Jet really wanted to play with our senior cat, and he got along at a distance with our small dog. He’s a really great little guy who has overcome a rough start in life. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
