Circe - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in San Jose, California

Circe is a sweet, cautious girl who may take a little time to decide that you’re her person, but once she feels safe, she has an affectionate side to share. She prefers to take things at her own pace, and she’ll do best with a patient adopter who understands that trust is something to be built.

Circe is very food motivated and never misses an opportunity to clean her plate! She’s also playful, especially when there are small toys involved. She loves pouncing on little wool balls and chasing wand toys around the house. She tends to be most active at night, and when it’s time to sleep, she returns to her cozy cubby in her basecamp, even though she has access to the whole house.

While Circe isn’t a fan of being picked up, she has made great progress with socializing. If you get down low, stay quiet, and let her come to you, she may approach for pets, and her reward is a super loud purr! She gets along well with other cats and has even been known to groom her friends.

Circe would thrive in a quiet home with someone who can give her the time and space she needs to blossom. She could do well with other cats and would be happiest with an adopter who appreciates an independent kitty and finds joy in earning her trust.

Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped.
