Minouche Is Finally Looking for Her Forever Family

At 7 years old, Minouche is a sweet little cat with an incredibly gentle nature. Calm, affectionate, and easygoing, she doesn’t ask for much to be happy: a loving human companion, a few cuddles, a cozy spot for naps, and a window where she can watch the birds.

Minouche loves being close to her person. She purrs easily, enjoys affection, and even loves gentle belly rubs. She is a quiet and endearing companion, perfect for someone looking for a soothing and loving presence in their daily life.

Like many cats who have experienced hardships, Minouche knows how to express her preferences. If she dislikes something, such as having her nails trimmed or her paws cleaned, she will let you know with a few complaints. Despite her protests, however, she allows herself to be handled with patience and kindness.

Minouche must be the only cat in the household. She does not enjoy the company of other cats and would be much happier in a home where she can receive all of her humans’ attention.

She also has chronic feline rhinitis, a condition that occasionally causes mild symptoms such as sneezing or discharge from her eyes and nose. These episodes are generally minor and can be managed simply by keeping her little face clean and monitoring her condition. The stress of moving to a new environment may temporarily worsen her symptoms after adoption, but Minouche continues to enjoy a happy and fulfilling life despite this condition.

We also believe that she may be hearing impaired or possibly deaf. This does not prevent her from being happy or from fully enjoying her everyday life.

Minouche’s story touches us deeply. She was surrendered because she required antibiotics for her rhinitis, and her previous owner no longer felt able to provide that care. Facing euthanasia, she found herself alone in a shelter cage. Distressed by the situation, she became depressed and slowly began to give up. Then a foster family opened their home to her.

With time, patience, and lots of love, Minouche began to thrive again. She regained her gentle spirit, her trust, and her happiness. Today, she is ready to turn the page and find the family who will love her for exactly who she is: a simple, kind-hearted cat who is endlessly grateful.

After everything she has been through, Minouche finally deserves her chance.

Perhaps that chance is you.
