Beary is a grey domestic shorthair male who is approximately 5 year old.

Meet Beary! Beary is a handsome, confident cat with a big personality and an even bigger voice! This sweet boy loves being involved in everything his people are doing and is always ready to share his thoughts with you through his constant chatter. If you're looking for a cat who will truly become part of the conversation, Beary is your guy.

Beary is incredibly curious and enjoys exploring his surroundings. He is playful and loves chasing after spring toys and anything else he can bat around the house. He is also very food motivated and eagerly anticipates mealtime, sometimes giving a little reminder if he thinks you're taking a little too long to serve his dinner!

While Beary is affectionate and enjoys attention, he can become overstimulated at times and does best with adults or older children who can recognize and respect his body language. He thrives with people who understand feline communication and are able to pick up on his cues. When he wants affection, Beary will happily rub against his humans and absolutely melts for cheek rubs and gentle attention.

Beary has been making great progress with being handled and is becoming more comfortable being held for longer periods. If he's ready to be put down, he'll let you know with a meow. He is also working on becoming more comfortable with nail trims. He isn't a fan of having his paws touched, but with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, he's improving every day.

Beary is looking for a home that will appreciate his unique personality, respect his boundaries, and enjoy having a vocal, interactive companion by their side. In return, he'll provide endless entertainment, plenty of affection, and lots of conversations along the way.

Beary would likely do well with another cat or a dog friend given a proper and slow introduction.
