Meet Cowpoke, a handsome orange tabby with a cowboy's confidence, a professional napper's schedule, and a deeply questionable understanding of how far his little legs can actually jump. Born July 3, 2026, Cowpoke is one of those kittens who seems to wake up every morning thinking, "Today, partner, I'm going to conquer the Wild West." And then he launches himself from one couch to another, discovers the distance was slightly more ambitious than anticipated, takes a brief tumble, and gets right back up like nothing happened. No dignity lost. Probably.
Cowpoke is wonderful with men and women and absolutely loves other cats. He has very little hesitation meeting new feline friends and is especially attached to his sister, Big Iron. The two love to play, wrestle, and nap together, although Cowpoke is perfectly happy to be friends with everyone. He's also very friendly with people and warms up quickly to strangers. He does enjoy being petted and will tolerate a little snuggle session, but this cowboy prefers to keep his four paws on solid ground. Being picked up isn't exactly his favorite rodeo event, so he'd much rather sit beside you while you give him some well-earned scratches.
Cowpoke is playful, funny, and convinced he is considerably larger than his actual kitten-sized body suggests. He loves running, wrestling, and chasing toys, especially jingle balls and little mice. He's also quite the climber and has mastered clawing his way to the top of a little cactus cat tree, because apparently every cowboy needs a good lookout point. But after all that action, Cowpoke has one very important priority: a nap. This boy spends a surprisingly large portion of his day snoozing in various cozy spots, and honestly, we respect the commitment. He may be an adventurous little cowpoke, but even the toughest gunslinger needs plenty of downtime.
Cowpoke is looking for a home where he can keep exploring, playing, wrestling, and perfecting his highly questionable stunt-jumping techniques. Because Cowpoke is a kitten, he is required to be adopted into a home with another kitten or young, playful cat who can be his partner in crime, playmate, and fellow range rider.
