Tomato Tommy - Domestic Short Hair Cat Available for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Thomas “Tommy” Tomato has already lived quite the adventure for such a tiny kitten. He was discovered crying inside a Kensington storage facility by a welder working nearby. Later that same night, Tommy slipped away from his rescuers and tucked himself into the engine bay of a parked Toyota for warmth and safety. Thankfully, the car’s owner was nearby and able to pop the hood so Tommy could be safely rescued once again and brought to a cozy foster home.

Now safe indoors, Tommy’s true personality has blossomed. He is an outgoing, playful, and endlessly entertaining kitten with a huge zest for life. Tommy loves just about every toy he can get his paws on, but the cat dancer is his absolute favorite. He’s the kind of kitten who turns every room into his playground and every person into a new best friend.

Tommy is looking for a home that can match his energy and continue helping him learn good kitten manners. Like many young kittens, he’s still figuring out that hands and feet are not toys, so he’ll do best with adopters who can redirect his playful enthusiasm appropriately. Because he is so social and energetic, Tommy must go to a home with another playful cat or kitten companion to help keep him active, engaged, and happy.

Tommy has done well with other cats and quickly makes feline friends. He has not yet met dogs. He also met a very small baby and was initially a little unsure, but overall handled the experience well.
