Stevie Nicks - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Meet “Stevie,” short for Stevie Nicks. Stevie was found wandering the streets alone in Port Richmond. She wasn’t a regular member of the local cat colony, and she kept walking up to people and meowing for help. Luckily, one of those people decided to take her in! When no one came forward to claim her, Fishtown Animal Rescue agreed to help find her furever home.

If you’re looking for a playful snuggle bug, Stevie is your girl. She is very friendly towards people and will happily chill on your lap while you work or watch TV. When she’s not in a lap, Stevie enjoys scratching her scratch pads, lounging in her pet bed, or watching the world go by out the window. Stevie also loves to play in cat tunnels and chase wand toys around the room.

When the treats come out, Stevie is a total comedian. She’ll stand up on her hind legs to beg, just like a dog. She loves wet food, dry food, Churus, Temptations: you name it. Give Stevie a treat, and her heart is yours forever.

Stevie is only one year old, so she is learning how to play with people. When she’s feeling extra excited or overstimulated, she may bite. These bites are very gentle, and her foster parent is working to teach her manners. She is an excellent student!

Stevie shares her home with other dogs and cats. While they haven’t been introduced yet (good introductions take time), she seems curious and friendly towards them through the door. With patience and care, she should do well in a home with pets. She has not been around children before.

Stevie is allergic to fleas. When we found her, she was missing quite a bit of fur as a result of constant itchiness. Now, her beautiful tortie fur is back to full glory! She will need to remain on flea/tick preventatives throughout her life.
