Dolly is a quiet, affectionate lady who just wants to be near her people. She loves chin scratches and staring adoringly into your eyes. She will follow you from room to room if you let her, preferring to be curled up next to you or at your feet.
While she is a coach potato at heart, she's always excited for walks and happily keeps up with her pack. She has not shown any interest in toys or playing with the other resident dog yet, but that may change as she settles in. She is extremely tolerant of my (very dramatic) dog, taking all of his antics in stride. She has been welcoming to strangers coming into the house, and does not react when my dog barks at all. I have not seen her interact with children but given her calm, friendly disposition I suspect she would do well with older kids who will give her the gentle love and affection she wants.
She is crate trained, and responds well to come, sit, go/out, and "good girl" will send her whole body wiggling with joy. She does sometimes pull on the leash, especially if she sees another dog walking towards her, and would benefit from some leash manners training.
If you want a dog who will snuggle next to you on the couch while you watch TV or read a book after enjoying a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood, Dolly could be the perfect pup for you!
