This animal was found to have a medical condition that may need further diagnostics or care at a full-service hospital at your expense.
This cat has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), a contagious, untreatable disease that will limit the cat's life expectancy. PAWS should be contacted as soon as signs of URI, inappetence, weight loss, fever, etc. are noticed. PAWS will provide basic care related to FeLV illness when able and can help with the cost of care if needed. PAWS will not cover the cost of yearly vaccines, dental issues, broken bones, skin issues or other medical needs unrelated to FeLV, nor will heroic measures such as hospitalization or emergency care be offered.
