Fisher is an approximately 5-month-old kitten who came to ACCT Philly as a stray on September 17th, after a concerned caller noticed his eye was getting worse. He was found to have a ruptured eye that will need surgery to remove, along with an upper respiratory infection that is being treated with medication.

Fisher can be a little nervous, but has tolerated pets, even seeming to enjoy chin scratches by the end of the interaction. With some patience and TLC, Fisher seems like he'll settle in nicely once he's feeling better. The shelter currently does not have the surgical capacity to perform his enucleation, but it could be scheduled in the near future if he goes to a foster home. Due to his surgical needs, Fisher is urgently seeking placement with a rescue partner or ACCT Philly foster family .

BEHAVIOR NOTES:
Per staff 9/18: A little nervous when I first reached into his feral den, but was tolerant of pets and eventually seemed to enjoy chin scratches. I was told that later on that he tried to run when being set up in a kennel.

9/18 Vet Exam: Ruptured left eye. Mucoid nasal discharge. URI. Prescribed gabapentin and doxycycline.
