Hi, I am Poppy, a unique tortoiseshell tabby or "torbie". Did you know that no 2 torbies have the same markings? I am curious about lots of things, but also cautious when I explore. Watch out for your computer! I like watching the birds outside at the bird feeder, and I'm slowly getting to know the 2 dogs that live with me. One even has a loud bark.

Unfortunately, the older cat in the house doesn't want much to do with me. I REALLY would like a younger kitty friend to play and snuggle with! My favorite toys are ribbon wands, rings that I can bat around, and tunnels. I am not a fan of being chased and forcefully picked up. When I'm ready to be on your lap, I'll love pets and scritches on my chin. I will even "boop" your nose, which means I like you!

I would do best in a quiet home with adults or adults and older teens. Polite, gentle dogs would be OK with a slow introduction. With patience and love, I will warm up quickly and be your best friend!
