Looking for a unique kitten with a special heart beat???? Look no further, Simba's got you covered.
Simba was born with a very little heart murmur (barely I/VI, which means lowest sounding murmur).
He thinks his murmur is fun and it helps him have superpowers, because he is a very happy, active, playful, fun loving kitten. He loves getting kisses, playing with his foster sister and cuddles. You would never know he has a murmur.
Think of a heart valve like a little one-way door. It should close tightly after blood passes through. In these kittens, that door doesn't close normally, allowing some blood to leak backward or in a swirly motion causing the unique murmur sound.
Simba has a very mild abnormality. Similar to people some murmurs exist and are just a unique formation of the heart for them and doesn't lead to any medical concerns or issues. We are hoping this is the case for Simba. He may simply have a heart murmur that becomes less noticeable-or possibly disappears as he grows. At this time, the changes are mild and may never cause significant problems.
This boy needs a family that has pawsitive vibes to open their heart and home to him. He currently doesn't need anything dramatically unique, he will need a veterinarian to listen to his heart in 2 months and 3 months later then hopefully yearly at his wellness exams to confirm the murmur doesn't get dramatically louder and need additional workup. We are very hopefully he won't. Those follow up visits can be with the veterinarian at Pawsitive Hope for now additional cost.
