Look, we gotta be honest with you, Norman, while very handsome, is a weirdo. It's like he took the How To Be a Pet Cat course, mastered the basics, but then failed the final exam. Sure, he's gotten the hang of some things; he enjoys being petted and will rub his nose on your fingers so you'll rub and scratch his cheeks. BUT he will need to train you to pet him the way that *he* prefers (so very CAT of him, right?!), and you might have to endure some behavioral correction along the way. However, once you get the hang of it (you're the one being trained here, let's be clear!), he makes for a very entertaining companion!
Norman loves to play. He will bat around anything he can make into a toy, but he's particularly fond of plastic springs. He apparently ran track in Cat College and is fond of short sprints throughout the house to keep up with his training.
Once you've been properly trained in Norman Affection, he seeks out pets and scratches and will often sleep with you at night. He's incredibly talkative and, since he loves his wet food, will demand it at volume, but he's apparently learned enough in his training to know that waking his humans up to demand food is not tolerated, as long as he's fed before bedtime. However, although he enjoys being petted, he is mostly an independent companion who's off doin' his own thing unless you pull out the wand toy for him.
Norman enjoys having cats around but isn't interested in being buddies. He settled in immediately at his foster home and was not at all shy, and he met the cats in the home with, well, disinterest. He is happy to share the home with them, and he's not in any way a Mean Girl, but he's not gonna be anyone's BFF, either.
Because Norman needs to train his human companions in the correct ways of affection, he would probably do best in a home without children, only teens and adults. Since he's been unfazed by other cats, we suspect he would do fine with a dog.
Norman is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. If you're interested in taking the course in Norman Affection, apply to adopt him today!
