A volunteer writes:
Silvie's owner words:"she is attentive, lovable, a true sweetheart-she is friendly, gently playful and outgoing with all, including kids and cats". Silvie who was surrendered because her house counted too many pets is withdrawn at the care center, anchored at the back of her cubby and wary to see my hand coming close to her head. No hissing, no swatting just frozen in place. There is so much more to Silvie who by the way gave birth recently(all the babies found a home c/o former owner) and once before. No wonder the little gal is having a hard time although I sensed some improvement at my last visit with her. Silvie is pretty in her little black dress, apparently healthy and is awaiting her spay(scheduled for the 31st). Silvie has sooo much to give and really should be given the chance at a safe, quiet(without boisterous small children), patient, understanding and loving new home. Come and meet lovely Silvie at the Manhattan Care Center!
What my friends at ACC say about me:
Silvie is laying on top of her den, pupils dilated as the assessor approaches. When the kennel door is opened and she is spoken to softly, she trills, rolling onto her side and slow blinking. Silvie allows all petting, leaning in and making air biscuits as she is pet. Silvie is receiving medical treatment, so full pickup is not attempted to not disturb equipment. She is lifted up a few inches from inside of the kennel and remains calm, allowing and leaning into all further petting when set back down.
Silvie interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.
I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. Primary Color: Black Weight: 5.8lbs Age: 3yrs 1mths 3wks Animal has been Spayed
